Annapurna Circuit Mountain Biking takes riders to dizzying heights of 5,416 meters above sea level, making it the highest mountain biking race on Earth. The Annapurna Circuit Trek, also known as Around the Annapurna, has been highly acclaimed as a spectacular trekking route in the Annapurna region since it opened to foreign trekkers in 1977. This three-week trek begins in Besisahar and follows the Marshyangdi River, offering magnificent views of Manaslu and Himal Chuli to the east. Along the way, you will encounter diverse villages inhabited by people from various ethnic groups, providing awe-inspiring vistas of the snow-capped Himalayas. As you journey further north of the main Himalayan range, you will enter the high and arid Tibetan Plateau, where the scenery is equally breathtaking. The highest point of the trek is Thorong La pass, situated at an elevation of 5,416 meters. Due to the challenging nature of crossing the pass, the circuit is usually completed in a counter-clockwise direction.

Traveling in a clockwise direction involves a longer ascent and a shorter descent from west to east, which can be too demanding for many individuals to accomplish in a single day. Upon descending to the west at Muktinath from the pass, the trail continues to the barren Tibetan-like village of Kali Gandaki, home to the world's deepest gorge nestled between the massive Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains. After crossing the Thorung La pass from Manang to Muktinath, the final seven days of the circuit trek overlap with the Jomsom Trek from Pokhara, but in reverse.

Yak Attack, known for its altitude, extreme temperatures, harsh living conditions, and challenging terrain, is regarded as one of the toughest mountain bike races in the world.
