Churen Himal, one of the mountains in the Dhaulagiri range, belongs to the seventh series of peaks. It consists of three pinnacles: Churen West (7371m), Churen Central (7375m), and Churen North (7371m), with Churen Central being the highest. The Churen Himal Expedition offers a new opportunity for climbers to conquer this peak in Nepal.

Beyond Gurja Gaon, there are no villages along the route. After passing through Guru village and ascending steeply on a wooden trail, we reach Burjungkharka via Darsingkharka. This is where we can set up our tents for an overnight camp. Continuing along the river side of Kapekhola, it takes approximately four hours to reach the Churen Himal Expedition camp. Situated at an altitude of 4800m, the base camp for the Churen Himal Expedition shares the same elevation as Gurja Mountain's base camp. From this base camp, one can have a clear view of Churen Himal's base camp-1 and its pinnacles. Climbing Churen Himal is no easy feat, as it requires establishing two high camps before reaching the summit.

To the east of Churen Himal, you'll find the majestic peaks of Dhaulagiri 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. On its western side lies the impressive Putha Himal.
