Pharchamo Peak, alternatively known as Parchemuche Peak, is situated south of the Tashilapcha Pass, nestled between the Everest and Rolwaling regions. Reaching an impressive elevation of 6,273 meters, Mt. Parchemuche is a highly sought-after climbing destination in the Rolwaling trekking area. The peak is open for climbing under the jurisdiction of the Mountaineering Association Nepal.
This captivating snow-capped summit is located to the south of Tasi Lapcha and is an essential climb for trekkers venturing across the lofty Tasi Lapcha (5,755m) en route to Namche Bazaar in the Everest Region. It can also be accessed via the less-traveled trail of the Rolwaling region.
From the pinnacle of this peak, one can behold breathtaking panoramic views of Langtang, Everest, Gauri Shankar, Dorje Lakpa, Chobabhamre, Menlungtse, Mt. Tashi Lapcha, and numerous other majestic peaks. On a clear day, the westward vista reveals the entire expanse of Rolwaling and Langtang, while the eastern side showcases the magnificence of Mt. Everest. To the north, one can admire the imposing presence of Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang.
Mt. Parchemuche, or Mt. Pachermo, or Pharchamo Peak is characterized by a well-defined, easily accessible north by northwest ridge that emerges from the comparably flat, crevassed glacier beyond the Tasi Lapcha. Embarking on an expedition to this peak offers a mesmerizing journey through the stunning high alpine valleys of northeastern Nepal. Moreover, it presents a rare opportunity to immerse oneself in the vibrant cultures of the Brahmin and Buddhist villages that dot the region.
