Gurkha Adventures invites you to embark on a truly extraordinary expedition: the Limi Valley Circuit Trek, a hidden gem nestled in the untouched wilderness of Nepal. This trek is a rare opportunity for adventurous souls, offering an authentic experience in one of the most secluded and pristine regions of Nepal, deep within the wild expanses of Humla.
Your journey begins in Simikot, the administrative headquarters of Humla, accessed by a flight from Nepalgunj. From here, you'll venture into the heart of Limi Valley, an area where transportation relies solely on mules, donkeys, and horses, preserving the region's untouched allure. Along ancient trails once used for salt trading and spiritual pilgrimages, you'll trace your steps to the border shared by China and Nepal, treating your eyes to breathtaking views of iconic peaks such as Mt Kailash, Mt Saipal, Mt Mendun, and Ghur-La Mandala. Enchanting natural waterfalls, rejuvenating hot springs, and dense forests adorn the landscape, creating a picturesque backdrop for your adventure.
The Limi Valley is a sanctuary for diverse wildlife, including marmots, wolves, wild yaks, blue sheep, wild asses, hares, and Himalayan black bears. Lucky trekkers might even catch a glimpse of highly endangered species like the blue sheep and snow leopard, adding an element of rarity to your journey.
As you traverse through barley and buckwheat fields, you'll encounter villages inhabited by people of Tibetan descent, proudly preserving their unique customs, culture, and traditions. Their primary sources of livelihood, animal husbandry, and occasional trade, contribute to the richness of their heritage. The trek culminates at the summit of Gyuckarka, standing tall at an altitude of 5000 meters, offering a panoramic view of the Nepalese Himalayas, including Saipal, Kanjirawa, Kanti, Gorakh, and the Rishi Himalayan range.
At Gurkha Adventures, we prioritize your experience, ensuring you extract the utmost value from your journey. The Limi Valley has only recently become accessible to tourists, and to safeguard its delicate ecosystem, the Nepalese government strictly regulates entry with limited permits and special fees. Overcoming these challenges is rewarded by the unparalleled allure of Limi Valley—an extraordinary realm that outshines all others, calling out to the most audacious adventurers.
As part of our service, Gurkha Adventures facilitates the procurement of trekking permits through a meticulous process, involving applications and guarantee letters submitted to the relevant government agency. Please note that travel in restricted areas requires a minimum group size of two, as stipulated by the government. We ensure that all our customers are well-informed about the rules and regulations governing their expedition before setting foot on this remarkable journey. Join us and become part of a select group of explorers who have witnessed the enchantment of Limi Valley, an experience that will linger in your memory forever.
